Woodblock Printing

Woodblock carving is one of the oldest forms of printmaking, a relief method where wood is carved away to create an image. In this class, you will watch demonstrations on each step: creating an image, transferring the image to a woodblock, carving, and hand printing. Students then create their own woodblock, carve it out, and have a print worthy of framing! No experience necessary; beginners and intermediates welcome. This class is appropriate for 14+. This class will take place at , located on the fourth floor of the historic Hungerford Building at . Please enter at Door 2 to access the stairs/elevator to the fourth floor. Take a right out of the elevator and follow the hallway to the studio. An accessible ramp can be located at Door 3. Once inside Door 3, the elevator is to the left.
